Zildjian Workout with Dan Schack
Level 2: Trance

In this ZILDJIAN WORKOUT episode, Dan Schack utilizes the popular Carolina Crown exercise “Trance” to explore metric modulations and the fulcrum pressure changes between check, buzzes and diddles.

Before working on this exercise, be sure to check out Dan’s first workout where he explores the timing necessary to perform metric modulations between 4’s and 5’s, then applies accent, diddle and roll variations to come up with some advanced level fulcrum pressure and timing concepts to master.
